Class Descriptions
Introductory to Pilates
2 private sessions and 1 group class.
This is designed specifically for anyone brand new to Pilates. Our introductory package is a great place to start for a relaxed, safe space to familiarize yourself with the Reformer, basic Pilates vocabulary, and the fundamental movement philosophy of Pilates. This package will prepare you for joining Level 1 Reformer classes with confidence.
Tower Chair
Our Tower/Chair classes are designed to be unique to you and include a full-body workout. Classes are customized in partnership with you to achieve physical and mental strength, improve well being, and stay challenging to achieve the best results. Prior reformer experience is necessary. The Tower and chair is an apparatus that helps to increase your range of motion and unilateral movement while building long lean musculature. Your core has to work to manage the spring tension while you develop spinal articulation and stabilization. It’s a great way to strengthen your whole body and helps keep your spine healthy.
Reformer 1
Level 1 Reformer is suitable for everyone, from novice clients gaining confidence on the Reformer to experienced clients who would like a more grounded workout. This program will teach you movements in supine, sitting, side lying, and 4 point kneeling. This Class will enhance your balance, strength, stretch and mobilization. Props are also utilized during sessions to target and engage more muscle groups for a full body workout.
Reformer 2
Level 2 Reformer classes will integrate more intermediate level exercises that generally require more strength and coordination as well as weight bearing and balance. Props will be used for dynamic movement. Tempo is moderate and focuses on a steady flow.
Reformer 3
This is an intermediate class. Knowledge and consistent participation in the level 1 and level 2 reformer classes is mandatory in order to attend this class. Reformer 3 will challenge your strength, mobility, endurance, and coordination. This class will allow for progression in your Pilates practice, and it is taught in sequences designed to teach advanced skills.
Pilates Mat
This all-levels mat class focuses on the basic Pilates principles: breathing, balanced muscle development, control, and centering. With only the mat for support, clients will quickly train their abdominal and learn how to move in a way that ignites the proper muscles.
Mat Stretch and Restore
Mat Stretch and Restore is a blended class featuring traditional Pilates mat combined with stretching. Help your muscles and joints recover in this class by promoting blood flow and reduce inflammation through working and stretching intermittently. A focus on controlled movements and breathing enhances overall body awareness, which also aides in injury prevention. All levels will benefit taking this class.
Reformer Jumpboard
This is a cardio workout that’s also low-impact for your joints. The jumpboard will get your heart rate up between core-building Pilates exercises. Jumping develops and strengthens the fast twitch muscles without compression, helping to improve speed, agility and power. Clients should have no significant injuries to join this class.
